This Birthing Center consist of seven Labor / Delivery / Recovery / Postpartum (LDRP) suites and four Postpartum beds.  Standard amenities in each room include:

• Jacuzzi Tub

• Mini-refrigerator

• Large cushioned window seat
  (accommodates an overnight guest)

• Large sink with warming light

• Custom Headwall Cabinet

• Dual recessed birthing lights with automatic control

Additionally, each suite is equipped with state-of-the-art beds and the latest high-tech equipment stored in a "headboard" cabinet.

The existing Women's Center and Newborn Nursery consisted of 16 LDRP, Lactation and Patient Education to the growing Southern Portland area. MMA provided a design for an 8-bed Postpartum Expansion, (1) LDRP, a Two-Position Triage, Lactation and Patient Education Room.

MMA provided a volumetric core analysis and developed a detailed Functional Space Program (FSP) for each service line. This 32,000 square foot addition to an existing acute care facility consists of eight postpartum beds.  Support services include an outpatient diagnostic Center for Women's Health.
