Sequoia Hospital Pavilion

Moon Mayoras Architects, Inc. (MMA) helped Sequoia Hospital continue to honor its commitment to provide innovative and exceptional healthcare to the southern San Mateo County community by designing a new state-of-the-art facility on the 13-acre existing Sequoia Hospital campus site in Redwood City. The new program included a four-story, 162,730-square-foot, 104-bed pavilion addition, a new central utility plant, a 50,000-square-foot medical office building, and a 4.5-level parking structure.

This new program houses services previously provided in the outdated, 50 year-old facilities and enhances Sequoia Hospital’s technological capabilities, including diagnostics, surgical intervention, medical and critical care, and information technology. MMA also designed renovations to portions of the existing hospital, including existing medical/surgical beds, emergency services, and other ancillary/support services.
