Scripps Health Mercy Chapel

Scripps Mercy Hospital hired Moon Mayoras to design a new chapel, which will serve as a non-denominational place of worship, religious sanctuary, and a quiet place for meditation and reflection.

The new chapel features a water wall fountain which greets visitors with the soothing sound of water upon entrance to the chapel sanctuary. Inside the chapel, Moon Mayoras designed a prayer wall that allows visitors to write and offer prayers for loved ones. The chapel design also features a stained glass wall and the tile floor with representations of the River of Life, an inspiring symbol of healing and transformation throughout time.
