Lucy Curci Cancer Center

The 80,570-square-foot Lucy Curci Cancer Center, located on the Eisenhower Medical Center (EMC) campus in Rancho Mirage, California, is a comprehensive cancer center providing medical oncology, radiation oncology, outpatient imaging, breast screening, infusion therapy, and a robust LucyCurciQuotelgrresearch program in a single, fully integrated facility. Patients in need of cancer treatment have access to a wide range of available treatments, including radiation therapy, stereotactic radiotherapy, high-dose rate radiation therapy, 3-D conformal radiation therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, gene therapy, autologous bone marrow transplants, anti-angiogenesis drugs, monoclonal antibodies, genetic testing, clinical trials, and other related cancer care services.

Moon Mayoras designed the Cancer Center to enhance the patient’s well being, improve treatment outcomes, and hasten overall recovery. Unlike the sterile, uninviting, cold clinical cancer centers of the past, the Lucy Curci Cancer Center promotes health and well-being through a fusion of positive lighting, ventilation, acoustics, natural textiles and fabrics, beautiful waterfalls, fountains and gardens, soothing color palettes, rich textures, finishes, and appointments. The design also features stress-reducing landscapes, natural and indirect light, soft desert color schemes, lush plants, ergonomically designed furnishings, comfortable waiting room amenities, and a tranquil healing garden.
