Moon Mayoras Architects, Inc. (MMA) announced the promotion of Nathaniel Guerrero, AIA, CSI; Ernest Bonilla; and Minh Kelly to associate on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. As recognition for their contribution to the firm’s success, Nat, Ernie, and Minh will serve as representatives of MMA’s leadership team and will participate in future strategic planning for the firm.
A member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), Nat currently serves as a lead project architect for MMA responsible for the multidisciplinary coordination of complex healthcare projects. His thorough knowledge of regulations and permitting procedures for healthcare projects subject to review by the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) ensures that Nat’s designs are functional, state-of-the-art, and capable of efficient approval though OSHPD’s plan review and permitting processes.
Working his way up through the industry ranks, Ernie has garnered hands-on experience in architectural design, affording him an in depth understanding of the integrated tasks required to deliver a successful healthcare facility from conceptual planning to operation. As a project leader for MMA for eight years, Ernie manages onsite medical facility design teams during construction. In this role, he spearheads all correspondence between the design team and OSHPD to ensure MMA’s projects comply with all applicable regulations.
Minh brings nearly a decade of experience in the design and construction industry to his role as controller and corporate secretary. He is primarily responsible for preparing and analyzing MMA’s comparative financial statements with industry models, and leading the firm’s reporting policies. Working hand-in-hand with the firm’s principals to develop, maintain, and evaluate costs, Minh strives to ensure that MMA is operating efficiently in order to pass those savings along to our clients.
