EMC is the Second Most Beautiful Hospital with MGMC also Ranked in the Top 20

Two Moon Mayoras projects were featured in Soliant Health’s 2011 list of the Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals in the U.S. The Eisenhower Medical Center (EMC) in Rancho Mirage, California, was ranked as the second Most Beautiful Hospital in the U.S. and the Mercy Gilbert Medical Center (MGMC) in Gilbert, Arizona, took No. 14. A record of nearly 170,000 votes were cast to determine the finalists for Soliant Health’s fourth annual list.

Receiving nearly a quarter of those votes, EMC was described as having, “a patient safety-based design that incorporates evidence-based processes into each patient room, central pavilions with refined color palettes, and Renaissance-based art that creates a modern piazza feel in what is truly one of America’s best-looking medical institutions.” MGMC has also received extensive accolades for its excellence in design, including a ranking as a Top Ten Healing Hospitals in 2008 by the Baptist Healing Trust, through its subsidiary, Healing Trust Services. The hospital features many notable, beautiful, and unique qualities, including “sculptures and other outdoor art adorn the space below a dramatic arch and dome structure.”
