Interactive Design Process:
MMA utilizes a unique and specific Interactive Design Process (Charette), which results in a much more efficient project execution in terms of both accuracy and overall project timing.  This process is a governing philosophy within our firm and is intended to create communication through work sessions where the Owner becomes an integral member of the Project Design Team, working to produce an optimum design solution.

Direct Principal Involvement:
The Interactive Design Process requires knowledgeable Principal-level designers, planners and architects in the lead capacities.  Therefore the firm's senior leaders maintain active roles throughout the project's development.

In-House Functional Space Programming:
The significance of the Functional Space Programming phase cannot be overstated.  More projects tend to fail at the design and programming phase than later in the project, although the results are not usually seen until a later point.  Accurate Functional Space Programming ensures that the project is right-sized from the outset and will accommodate the functional and programmatic core volumetric requirements necessary to achieve the desired project result.

Healthcare Experience:
MMA has completed healthcare projects in California, Oregon, Arizona, Texas, Florida and Connecticut.  We have developed internal tools and methods during quality-control and quality-assurance to identify stop-gaps which might lead to unnecessary back-checks and other avoidable delays during Agency reviews.

Team Philosophy:
The single "Project Design Team" mindset is central to MMA’s approach, and generally discourages the conflicts that result from a traditional “Owner versus Contractor versus Architect” approach.
